Design - Ergonomic and compact – The Solio is the most effective and compact solar charger on the market with its own fully integrated internal battery.
Its patent pending Solar Blade ™ technology allows it to achieve maximum solar area at minimum size. Unlike other obtrusive portable chargers, Solio’s fan blade design allows it to be folded neatly to the size of a small mobile phone. This means Solio is highly portable, making it the perfect travelling partner wherever you are going.
Technology - Integrated storage and intelligent power distribution capability The Solio generates energy from sunlight and stores it within its integrated Lithium Ion battery. A range of mobile devices including iPod, mobile phones and pdas can be charged at the same rate as their individual wall chargers thanks to Solio’s intelligent internal circuitry. This means users are free to travel without an array of chargers and travel plug adapters.
Environment – The design and engineering process is shaped by Better Energy Systems’ aim to reduce the effects of its products upon the environment, whilst at the same time achieving a positive impact upon the lifestyle habits of the consumer.
A full toxicity analysis and energy assessment is carried out in conjunction with the Fraunhofer Institute, Berlin. This is part of Better Energy Systems “give more than we take” policy. Over its lifetime, Solio will ideally produce more energy than energy used in its construction. To help with this process trees have been planted in a bio-diverse sustainable forest to offset the carbon emitted during the Solio's production. The clever design of Solio also means that it can be easily dismantled and recycled when it reaches the end of its life.
